WHAT IS BPA?

What is our mission?

Our mission at Business Professionals of America is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth and service.

As a co-curricular organization, Business Professionals of America has the ability to enhance student participation in professional, civic, service and social endeavors. Business Professionals of America members participate in these activities to accomplish their goals of self-improvement, leadership development, professionalism, community service, career development, public relations, student cooperation, safety and health.

Some of BPA’s other major programs include the National Leadership Academy, National Officer elections and scholarships. The Torch Awards Program and BPA Cares Program recognize students and chapters, respectively, for their leadership and service to their chapter and community.

What is our vision?

Our vision for Business Professionals of America is: To be an innovator in Career and Technical Education, providing our members with opportunities for growth through education, competition, community service and personal development.

With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico, BPA is a co-curricular organization that supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards.

Our Traditions

Traditions play a unique role in the culture of our organization by evoking a sense of pride among our members and serve as a way of connecting our current student members with our alumni after graduation.

Not only are traditions the things we hold most dear and that resonate the loudest within an organization, but traditions foster a great sense of community and offer excellent opportunities for new members to become involved and be included.

The traditions of Business Professionals of America can teach not only our members, but those outside of the organization about our history and serve as a means for building community, instilling common values that span generations, and generate pride and enthusiasm.

We invite you to share in these traditions and all the positive contributions they have to offer.
