This past week was the state wrestling tournament at the Xcel Energy Center. The team finished in 3rd place in class AAA. The team beat Bemidji in the quarterfinals 38-31, fell to Stillwater in the semis 44-15, and defeated Owatonna for 3rd place 50-19. We had 10 of 14 individuals qualify for the state tournament
This past Saturday the Knights hosted the Individual Section 5AAA Championships. This past week we hosted the Section 5AAA team wrestling tournament. The team defeated Robbinsdale Cooper 72-9 in the quarters, Park Center 64-6 in the Semis, and Wayzata 31-27 in the finals. Last week, the varsity and junior varsity both defeated Edina (V 79-0, JV 48-13) and Como Park (V 80-0, JV 13-12) on Thursday. The varsity and JV lost to Simley on Friday (V 24-39, no team scores kept for JV). Our Varsity 2 went up to LPGE-B, they lost three duals to very tough AA
