The Knights got their first win of the season in a very physical battle against St. Paul Como Park! The Knights took control from the opening tip; forcing a Cougar turnover than scoring a 3-point basket by Lily Tennyson. Leading 28-17 with under 3 minutes remaining in the first half, the Knights gave up an 11-3 run and held just a 3 point lead at halftime. The two teams exchanged baskets in the opening minutes of the second half, but the Knights slowly pulled away to a 77-54 victory! All girls on the roster saw playing time and contributed to the win. Kenzie Kramer posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Tessa Johnson and Kendal Cox had 17 points each and combined for 11 rebounds. Vanessa Alexander led the rebounding efforts grabbing 12 boards. Congratulations to freshman, Piper Carlson, for scoring her first varsity points! #heatrises #team50
