If tonight’s game is any indication of the how the season is going to be, it is going to be a fun one! Despite a tough loss, the Knights battled hard for 36 minutes and left it all on the court. There were 14 lead changes and 5 ties in the game. Park Center’s biggest lead came with just over 6 mins left in the game when they went up 61-53. The Knights rallied, behind back-to-back 3 point shots from Kendal Cox and Kenzie Kramer, to tie the game at 61 with 4:15 remaining. The two teams exchanged baskets for the final minutes before the Pirates hit a shot from way behind the 3 point line at the buzzer to win it, 72-69. The Knights shot 84% (21-25) from the charity stripe and 61% (8-13) from the beyond the arc. Vanessa Alexander and Cox controlled the boards, combining for 17. The Knights had four players in double-digits – Kramer led with 23 points, Cox had 14, Lily Tennyson and Tessa Johnson each chipped in 11 points.
