The STMA Knights traveled up to Moorhead for a doubleheader on Friday and left with two victories. In the first game, the Knights trailed 4-0 going into the top half of the fifth inning. The Knights scored four runs in the fifth and the seventh to take the first game 8-5. Paxton Thompson and Cody Kelly combined to go 8-8 with three RBI. Marcus Krupke pitched a complete game to pick up the victory on the mound.
In the second game, the Knights got out to a hot start by scoring nine runs in the first three innings. Moorhead battled back to make it a 9-6 game. STMA came back with five runs in the sixth and took the second game 14-7. Luc Laylin and Alex Wilde combined to go 5-6 with three RBI. The Knights improve to 8-1 on the season. Next week the Knights travel to Buffalo on Tuesday for a doubleheader and Brainerd on Thursday.
