On Thursday afternoon the Knights traveled to Brainerd for a game against the Warriors. STMA jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first three innings behind two hits and a RBI from Will Anderson. Brainerd came back to tie the game in the third and took the lead in the bottom of fifth. It wasn’t until the top half of the sixth inning when the bats came alive for the Knights. STMA put up eleven runs off nine hits to win 13-3 in six innings. Luc Laylin was 3-5 with a RBI, Alex Wilde went 2-4 with a RBI, and Marcus Krupke and Nick Oakvik combined to go 4-7 and Krupke had three RBI. Braeden Levandowski came in relief for Marcus Krupke in the fifth and pitched one and two-thirds inning. Levandowski didn’t surrender a run or hit in relief and struck out two Warrior hitters. The Knights improve to 11-1 on the season. STMA has a busy week next week. They will play six games in five days starting with a doubleheader at Monticello on Tuesday afternoon.
