The girls basketball team advanced to the Section 8AAAA semifinal game after beating St. Cloud Tech last night. It was a sluggish start for the Knights with the Tigers jumping out to a 7-0 lead. After the Knights finally scored their first bucket at the 11:58 mark, they strung together 6 more unanswered points. The teams exchanged baskets and with the Tigers up 12-11, the Knights finally found some energy and closed the final 8 mins of the half with a 25-8 run to take a 36-20 lead at halftime. The Knights scored the first 17 points of the half en route to a 69-30 win. Thirteen girls played for the Knights in the team win! Jadyn Hanson led all scorers with 18, she also had 4 steals. Kendal Cox led the rebounds with 8. Kenzie Kramer scored 16 points and led the steal column with 5. Vanessa Alexander had 11 points and 6 rebounds. Whitney Dold, Kramer, and Hanson combined for 11 rebounds. Dold and Emma Miller combined for 12 points.
The Knights will play #5 Buffalo Saturday night at 6 p.m. Location is TBD.
