Knights News · Girls Basketball Comes Away With Win Over Minnetonka


The girls basketball team improved their record to 9-2 with a 58-49 win over Minnetonka! The Skippers took advantage of a slow start by the Knights to build a quick 6-0 lead. After regrouping, the Knights put together a 9-0 run of their own starting with a 3 point play from a hard drive to the basket by Whitney Dold. The rest of the first half was back and forth and at halftime, the Knights held a slim, 28-25 lead. The second half was much the same as the first, with the two teams exchanging baskets and neither team leading by more than 5 points. In the closing minutes, the Knights pulled away to post a 58-49 win. Jadyn Hanson took control of the game with big defensive stops and hitting key shots on the offensive end. She finished with 24 points. Cox was a difference maker on both ends of the floor with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Vanessa Alexander and Riley Carlson each pulled down 4 rebounds.

 

The girls went 3-1 on the day over the Skippers with the 9th grade and B team winning and the JV losing a close one, 46-40.
